Delays

Delays. Delays. Delays. Because the DR. wasn't placed before my name in the artwork, the publisher rejected (temporarily) the final approval. Bookus interruptus. Dang. I feel like a teenager rejected by the turn of the cheek.

So I wait for the minor repair work before fun time. Approval may be moments away then, as I used to say in my teens, "I'll be getting it!"

My parents used to laugh at that line. "Hey Scott!" My step-dad would yell. "Did you GET IT?" He would grin.

"No dad." I would reply sadly. "But I got some." I would smile.

There is a big difference. Getting it is going all the way, getting some entails no turn of the cheek, but still not getting it.

So, pertaining to the book. I'm not getting it, I'm not getting some, I'm still scheming to go round the bases.
